I suspected that Sam Houston would be the goose who would show some interest. She's the one in the front. Titus, always the 'could care less' goose, sighed a goose sigh, and moved on.
I had to do a little persuading....
But at last----Sam took the bait, and could not help herself. She HAD to get a closer look.
I think it just set her to thinking---only a goose would know what---but she tired of my silly game too, and found Titus. I wonder what they said about me?
So, back in its home in my studio, the ostrich egg sits. Thee End.
I've saved most of my son's stuff from his much younger years. So glad I found this today.

Debra, that note from your son gave me "goose bumps." Do geese have bumps?????? I guess I never thought about it before, but I never realized how much bigger an ostrich's egg is than a goose egg. Is it "hatchable?" I'm trying to imagine you with an ostrich baby!!!!!
I don't know what went wrong but I wrote you a comment but blogger did not publish it.
I'll try again. You always surprise me with your stories and that precious note from your son, what a blessing and you deserved a blessing. God bless you, my friend.
So sweet Debra, the note from your son. Also, cool to see an ostrich egg. Blessings to you Debra. Tina
Your cement cake reminds me of one my mother made for a friend...she nestled a balloon inside a box and frosted the whole thing!
Sweet son memories, Debra!
Thank you all~
much love to you-and God bless....
What a wonderful note from your boy!
I am sorting through treasures like this and commented to my daughter that it was so hard to get rid of any of it. Her comment was, Mom... just keep it all and keep enjoying it when you need a special moment...
so the boxes remain fun for us to go through even together, and we laugh and ooo and aaaah.
It is good... these little treasures!
