From Joyce Meyer, "How to Succeed at Being Yourself," Time Warner Book Group, 1999~

"I don't have perfect faith-a perfect attitude-perfect thoughts and perfect ways.
Jesus knew that would happen to all of us. That is why He "stands in the gap" for us. (Ezekiel 22:30) A gap is a space between two things. There is a gap-a space between us and God put there by our imperfections and sins.
"God is perfect and completely holy. He can only fellowship with those who are like Him. That is why we come to Him through Christ. Jesus is just like His Father. He has told us- "If you have seen Me-you have seen the Father." (John 14:9)
" Jesus stands in the gap between God's perfection and our imperfection. He continually interceeds for us because we continually need it. (Hebrews 7:25) Jesus came to us as both the Son of God and the Son of Man. He is the mediator between two parties-us and God. (1Timothy 2:5)
" Through Him-we come into agreement and fellowship with the Father.

In Him we are acceptable to God."
...he hath made us accepted in the beloved. Ephesians 1 :6 KJV

Oh, Debra! Such beautiful thoughts of reassurance and comfort: To know that HE makes up for all that does not measure up in my life, fills the gaps, and then . . . sees me as perfect! You are so right, and we don't often stop to think of being rescued from ourselves.

You were the inspiration for my post today, Debra! Thank you!

Debra, you have a gift. You should go to school & pastor people,I mean it.If you lived near me I`d be sending you up to the counsel to be trained for that.I belong to the First Church of God who is ALWAYS sending people off to school so they come back as teachers. It is something you should think about. We don`t down anyone elses belief,as long as God is in their life,we embrace them.Love you Debra, when God gives you a gift, you should use it.You are reaching people on your blog, but what of the people who haven`t read you?phyllis

What a beautiful way to describe Jesus and what he has done for us! I love the photographs of the sun shining through the barn slats and of course the sky at the end is totally amazing! Love visiting. I'm a work, eating at my desk and trying to catch up on a few blogs. Maybe someday soon I will add something to mine. Thanks for stopping by. Love you much, Vicki

Beautiful words of wisdom, my friend. God loves us and will never forsake us as long as we hold on to His unchanging hand.

I hope I made it plain enough that the text for my post is from Joyce Meyer-not my own words.
I don't know what my purpose is really yet-but I know God will unfold it for me when His time is right.

these are beautiful thoughts and photos. I leave the barn lights on in one of our horse stalls at night while I do chores. As I walk the fence line dropping hay and checking water, I just love to look back and see all the soft light filter through the barn cracks. It reminds me of my worn out body with a few cracks of it's own and how if I just leave the 'Light' on from the inside, people might just see a bit of His glory... shine Jesus shine!
